An interpretation of a quote from Charles Eames, “Connections” the endless conflict between coast and ocean involves an infinite relationship of change. in this interpretation, it is up to you to decide whether the designer is the sea or the beach… and which is the more dominant. the quote reads:
“If this is a representation of society… then this area represents the interests and concerns of the designer… & this area represents the genuine interests of the client… 		 
Then it is this area of overlapping interests and concerns, where the individual designer can work with conviction & enthusiasm.”
