Frida Kahlo produced in the Saatchi Wellington basement, using the acting abilities and certain likeness of a suit from direct marketing.
needless to say, this was a pro-bono thirty second commercial for the Wellington City Gallery to promote a rare exhibition (to NZ) of mexican painting by Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera. |
athough the story board was approved by the owner of the painting, this piece brings up some interesting questions about the ownership of individual identities: both living and dead. as well as the right of companies and organisations to alter "works" that were not commissioned by them. |

the
piece was direct to dv for broadcast. 3d in Lightwave, montage in After Effects. 3d animation of the “bridal veil” by David Partridge |
